Infinite Potential
by One Spirit Weekend on Aug.31, 2009, under Consciousness and Spirituality, In Harmony with Mother Earth
By Amoraea Dreamseed & Kerrie Dancing Butterfly
We stand here now, with the freedom to explore the expansive territory of our infinite potential. As time unfolds, we are much closer to realizing that we are the Designers of the Map, that Time’s great spiral destiny is unraveling through humanity’s devotion to Illumination. It is becoming lucidly clear that illuminating the Self is ‘Prime Directive’ and interwoven with illuminating the Planet. Our personal evolution is not only inseparable, but absolutely critical, to the Earth’s awakening.
To cast no shadow is to become your own Light Source — radiant, emanating Ambassador of the Great Central Sun — no longer living off the light of others or hiding within the dark folds of the ego’s secret delusions and agendas. The Earth speaks her intelligent request: “Clear your fields, align your intent and raise your vibration, so that our work together is impeccable and sent forth for the highest good of us all.”
As we wake up to our soul’s inherent design as Earth Steward / Light keeper / Healer, some of us are left bewildered at how we can possibly live up to the potential of this insistent message we hear from within. The seed of our Ultimate Embodiment has just begun to sprout through the layers of soil that have been gestating us. At times, it feels a daunting task to climb the spiral ladder of consciousness, outgrow limiting patterns, egoic comforts, fears, and self-doubt, to become a Divine Human, and to do it quick enough to ’save the planet’ from the ‘deluge of darkness’. Breathe deep and exhale here. Rest assured, the seed of your soul has a perfect timing mechanism of awakening, as does every other soul, along with the planet and communal consciousness. We are all perfectly interweaving, attracting the right inner and outer experiences to spark the continuum of our healing and awakening. Strengthening, honoring, and blissfully surrendering to our unique inherent gifts is all that is needed. To succeed collectively, we must offer unconditional support for each other’s individual choices during this process.
For many of us, 2008 challenged the stability of our identity by unraveling our subconscious imprints and areas of our personality that are outdated for these accelerated times. We brought these to the surface by manifesting situations that would test the infrastructure of our being. We are in the dynamic recalibration that comes during times of crisis, and like a centrifuge, that which is not sound and integral to our Divine Axis must spin off. In 2009 this process continues, but also sees the blossoming of our infinite potential flowering open, as the sheaths of the bud yield to the explosive desires of our innermost being to receive the Light.

The Path of Yoga
by One Spirit Weekend on Aug.28, 2009, under Consciousness and Spirituality, In Harmony with Mother Earth, Movement for Attunement

By Erika Faith
Yamas – Restraints (Written as Affirmations)
Yamas are about our actions toward people and things:
a) I am kind and loving to all living things, including myself. (Ahimsa – non-violence)
b) I am truthful in thought, word, and deed. (Satya – dedication to Truth)
c) I am self-reliant and have boundless energy to create wealth. (Asteya – non-stealing)
d) I honor my sexuality as a sacred part of me. (Brahmacharya – sexual consciousness)
e) I am free from attachments and expectations. (Aparigraha – non attachment)
Niyamas – Observances (Written as Affirmations)
Niyamas are about nurturing yourself:
a) I keep myself and my environment pure. (Shauca – purity)
b) I am content, accepting and learning from events in my life. (Santosha – contentment)
c) I live simply, free from unnecessary distractions. (Tapas – focused enthusiasm)
d) I study my Self with inquisition and non-judgement. (Svadhyaya – self inquiry)
e) I unite myself with God and God merges with me. (Ishvara-Pranidhana – oneness with Spirit)
Asana
“The spinal column must be held straight and the body firm, in a comfortable position for meditation.” Patanjali doesn’t happen to mention the thousands of other asanas we have been learning in Hatha Yoga Classes. Yoga, as you have probably assumed by now, is not just the asanas and physical movements we have focused on practicing here in the West. But, steady poses help us to concentrate, become ultra aware of our physical body and move us into a meditative state.
Pranayama
Pranayama means breath control. In yoga practice, this is our intimate relationship with our life force (prana). The breath carries vital energy through our system and gives every cell oxygen. Breathing exercises and breath focus have a great purpose in Hatha Yoga practice: It helps us pay close attention to our body and ourselves, it brings relaxation by creating mental serenity, it builds physical heat within the body allowing us to stretch deeply without injury, and it rejuvenates through the releasing of dormant energy. Without proper breathing, yoga postures are incomplete and benefits won’t be attained.
Pratyahara
Pratyahara means “withdrawal of the senses”. To relax deeply and have a clear head, we sometimes need to detach ourselves from the external world. This doesn’t mean that we completely lose contact with outer reality, we just don’t let ourselves be disturbed by it. It is the feeling of hearing a sound, but it being far enough from us that it doesn’t cause us to react. The practice of pratyahara can be done in relaxation poses such as Savasana (the corpse pose), in asana practice, and even in daily life situations. Pratyahara teaches us that we have the power to choose how we respond to the external world.
Dharana
Dharana is the act of focusing our attention on a single thing. The goal is to become aware of nothing but the object in which you are concentrating. This is often done by fixating on a divine form (such as a picture of a spiritual master). As we hold our mind within a center of spiritual consciousness, we are connecting to the Truth within us. Other focal points are: a candle’s flame, the nose (which is also cleansing for the eyes), the “third eye” chakra, a mantra, and the breath. The practice of Dharana trains the mind to eliminate any excess thought or junk from our consciousness.
Dhyana
Dhyana is the state of meditation. It is the state in which uncluttered mind and heightened awareness lead to complete stillness. The focus is clear and vast – awareness resting on the All in the moment – without preferences. Meditation can be achieved through practice of Dharana and Pratyahara, Pranayama, and even Asana.
Samadhi
Samadhi means “to merge”. It is the ultimate goal of yoga. It is defined as a state of super consciousness where one has achieved, for any amount of time, oneness with the universe. This integration, or union of the All, is wonderfully blissful and is believed to be the true expression of our Eternal Self.
May all beings be peaceful.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be safe.
May all beings awaken to the light of their true nature.
May all beings be free.

Yoga Is….
by One Spirit Weekend on Aug.25, 2009, under Community Living, Consciousness and Spirituality, Movement for Attunement
By Erika Faith
Yoga is Creativity.
Creativity is a divine gift from God to humanity which anyone can access. Whether it is painting, ritual, music or movement we can all receive some type of benefit from creative expression. My on-going creative project is Yoga. How? Well…the simplest way for me to put it is: There are over 14,000 different postures (Asanas) and 50 different styles (Disciplines). A person can put together any routine for their own schedule or liking. Most styles involve some sort of relaxation. Whether a person is moving, breathing, or meditating, eventually there comes a time when the mind opens up and thoughts quiet down. This is where real insight and creativity happens. I don’t know HOW it happens. It just does. An exquisite mystery.
Yoga is Healing.
The ultimate goal of yoga is union with the All; it is to become completely aware of the Self or soul. The natural progression of practicing yoga leads one to: peace of mind and heart; power of will, love, and intellect; direct influence of the mind upon the body and the world outside the body; psychic abilities of various kinds; control of mind and better concentration; control of the emotions (removal of worry, pride, anger, fear, lust, and greed); bodily health, suppleness, beauty and longevity; and the prevention and removal of psychosomatic dangers and troubles. The Yoga Sutra’s Yamas (things to avoid) and Niyamas (things to do) are guidelines for living a life of integrity and truth. It is not necessary to obey these rules because these are just suggestions to live a happier, more fulfilled life. Yoga heals by allowing us to experience life in the continuous unfolding moment.
Yoga is Community.
Together, when people do yoga, something magical happens. There’s a wonderful feeling of togetherness, love, and camaraderie. This may manifest because each person starts to take responsibility for their life, beliefs, and experience. Yoga teaches that when the flow of the universe treats you kindly or harshly, you have control of your own attitude and outlook. The community of people studying and practicing yoga quickly becomes tight. I believe yoga brings people together in a magnetic sense; we want to share the bounty of its blessings with one another. A big group, focusing on transcending themselves, is a pretty incredible force of energy! As a teacher, I am excited to be able to share some of yoga’s power with my community.
Yoga is Committment.
Practice meditation (Dyana), breathing techniques (Pranayama), yoga postures (Asanas), and a deep relaxation (Savasana) at least three times a week. To really feel the essence of yoga, it is important to declare that yoga become part of your daily life. This is a committment that is only bound by your own will. Once you see the magic that yoga creates in your life, you will only want to continue with it.
May all beings be peaceful.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be safe.
May all beings awaken to the light of their true nature.
May all beings be free.

Vernon Woolf At One Spirit Weekend October 2009
by One Spirit Weekend on Aug.19, 2009, under Consciousness and Spirituality

By Morgan Langan
Puma and I had an amazing interview with Dr Vernon Woolf last week. His message for us was both inspirational and sobering. On the inspirational side, he told us that the timing of One Spirit Weekend is vital. We need leaders in their chosen field of expertise to step forward now more than ever. On the sobering side, he said that the time to take physical action is rapidly ticking down. Based upon all of the scientific data which he has available to him; the human race has as little as 2 years and perhaps as much as 25 years to change the WAY we are interacting with one another and this earth. I believe we are all sharing his sense of urgency. As a species we have been ignoring all of the warning signals so long that the world is literally on the brink of destruction. This is a pivotal point in our collective human consciousness.
Whether you believe personally you can make a difference to reverse this situation or you believe there is nothing you can do; you are right!
When I asked Dr. Woolf how to know what information is the right information, he said that the scientific information available regarding the physical status of our planet is undeniable. There are vested individuals who would rather we did not have all the facts. It is vital to carefully examine the source of any information you hear or read.
For 30 years Dr. Woolf has been teaching people how to utilize consciousness in order to “act responsibly” this is why we are so excited to have Dr. Woolf presenting our keynote address at One Spirit Weekend! He is at the forefront of changing physical reality. Not simply talking about it or theorizing about what could be done, he has been actively doing it! For 9 years Dr. Woolf worked with the Russian people as they transitioned from communism into a functional social and economic system. His program of Holodynamics was accepted and utilized by most levels of government as well as the scientific community. This comprehensive system of consciousness was integrated into many aspects of Russian life and lead to the largest privatization of land in the history of the world. This was accomplished without the need for war. Humbly, Dr Woolf says that during this entire time he never told anyone what to do. He simply taught the science of consciousness and people worked together to bring about the changes they wished to see.
What changes do you wish to see in our world? What is the legacy you wish to leave for future generations? Dr Woolf brings practical and demonstrable solutions to the problems which we are now facing. Based upon his success in Russia and his understanding of consciousness, he has designed “tracks” to direct your efforts in your particular area of leadership expertise. He will teach you the steps necessary to reach your full leadership potential so that together we may lead this world to a new WAY of being.
Please take the time to research Dr Woolf and www.Holodynamics.com then schedule your travel arrangements to join us in Sedona October 2- 5, 2009
Sincerely,
Morgan Langan

“Who Me? An Awakening Leader?”
by One Spirit Weekend on Aug.11, 2009, under Community Living, Consciousness and Spirituality, Success in Business

By Kerrie Dancing Butterfly
Yes you! Yes everyone! Everyone has the potential to be a leader. Especially now, all voices, all ideas, all perspectives, all talents, all skills, all resources and all hands are needed to dream and manifest new sustainable solutions into our collective reality. Each of us will be called to lead in different ways.
What does leadership look like today? We may be using an outdated view of what it is to be a leader. Many think that being a leader means to hold office, be a public speaker, a CEO, a best-selling author or be interviewed on CNN. However, as times change, so too must our interpretation evolve as to what it is to be a leader.
As a parent, business owner, teacher, politician, author, craftsman, musician or coach, being a leader starts first with your leadership character.
Here are some simple ways you can lead by being a shining example for others in your family or community to emulate.
* Be in integrity with your word
*Be brave enough to choose the road less traveled or even pave a new path for yourself and others
*Follow your true heart’s passion
*Choose compassion over judgment in all situations
*Accept and honor the value of diversity in our world
*Live in harmony with the environment as you lighten your impring by reducing, reusing and recycling
*Exhibit random acts of kindness when least expected and without expectation
*Speak your perspective passionately and compassionately
*Speak kind words to others
*Express bold new ideas and solutions to old problems instead of complaining about them ~ break out of your comfort zone
*Choose Faith over fear
*Help those less fortunate
*Live financially within your means
*Live a balanced life honoring your health, spirituality, family and profession
*Take ownership for your choices and your reality
*Be loving and authentic in your personal and family relationships
How can you lead in your profession?
*Exhibit exceptional ethics in your business dealings
*Be on time and follow through with your commitments
*Switch out blame and gossip in the workplace for clear, positive communication
*Bring innovative and creative solutions to the challenges of the business
*Seek to implement sustainable and environmentally-friendly approaches
Anyone in the community, in addition to parents, can exemplify leadership qualities for our youth.
*Model and teach your young ones how to respect others, exhibit moral values, honesty, sportsmanship, cooperation, tolerance, patience, accountability, exploration and compassion
*Give your youth stable environments, healthy structure and a strong foundation on which to establish their roots
*Give children a space to spread their individual wings and express their perspectives, feelings, creativity and passions
Leadership can be that simple and it starts with you and your own leadership character. With impeccable leadership, you can go into any arena and make monumental change happen fast. If it is your calling to write a book, address the school board, be a member of the US Congress, or chair a new organization, these simple suggestions will help you lead in any situation, with integrity, and with the respect and support of your peers. I invite you to look within and find your awakening leader; step up and make a difference today in your life, family and community.

May You Love as a PassionFruit Flower Lives
by One Spirit Weekend on Jul.22, 2009, under In Harmony with Mother Earth, Vibrant Health and Healing

May you love as a PassionFruit flower lives
By Kerrie Dancing Butterfly
One of my favorite fruits and flowers is the Passionfruit. The flower of this vine has inspired me more than any other flower. It has a beauty and boldness that is unparalleled. This extraordinarily radiant flower blossoms for just 2-3 days and then closes to incubate the most succulently tasty fruit I have ever experienced. Recently, I treated myself to a passionfruit vine and am blessed right now to wake and view these inspirational blossoms every day. The first time I saw this flower in Hawaii years ago, I was so inspired by its form that I was called to write this poem that I would love to share with you…
Passionfruit Flower Sends Loving Wisdom
Ever-expanding, vibrant, confident and bold
Trusting, vulnerable, a beauty to behold
Divine messages encoded within its essence
Sweet nectar tasted within its presence
Generous with the bounty of euphoric bliss
Gifting a deep affectionate and genuine kiss
Dancing and laughing with the breeze
Surrendering to cosmic flow with ease
Honoring the presence of Spirit inside
Opens the heart without fear–nothing to hide
True flower of love has no inhibition to shine
Swirling, ascending, blending over time…
May you LOVE as a Passionfruit Flower LIVES

The Intention Behind One Spirit Weekend
by One Spirit Weekend on Jul.06, 2009, under Movement for Attunement
By Morgan Langan
What is the intention behind One Spirit Weekend? I allow Confucius to be my spokesperson for this question:
-What I hear, I forget.
-What I see, I remember.
-What I experience, I understand!
One Spirit Weekend is about experiencing to understand!
During these rapidly changing times, it is vital that each of us clearly understands our role and how to best fulfill that role. It is also imperative that we are aware of the transformations currently taking place and what effect they will have upon the earth as well as you and your family. When you experience yourself as an awakened leader in the presence of hundreds of other like minded leaders, you will understand your unique role.
The experience of dancing together under starlit sky; the joy of sampling the best food available on the planet; the vibration of the Sedona energy; the feeling of community; receiving the latest information from experts who are living the life they are talking about–these are the experiences we all long for. This is why Puma & I have attended so many festivals–why we have gone to so many conferences–why we are drawn to seminars and retreats.
One Spirit Weekend takes all the successful elements from each of these and combines them into one cohesive experience, with the intention of awakening the leader within each of us, so that when we return to our families, communities and jobs, we do so empowered; knowing that we have a network supporting us in our designated role.
The team we have assembled to present this One Spirit Weekend has been guiding and supporting people through the transformational process for decades. As leaders, we too are being called to reach our highest potential. This is our opportunity to step into our roles as leaders.
Please join us as we experience this awakening together as One family.
How to Reduce the Physical & Financial Stress of Chronic Degenerative Diseases
by One Spirit Weekend on Jul.06, 2009, under Vibrant Health and Healing
By Shauna Puma St. Angel
Are you experiencing the physical and financial effects of Chronic Degenerative diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol or arthritis? Are you paying too much in insurance premiums, or can’t get insurance because of pre-existing chronic degenerative diseases? Did you know that by shifting a few things in your diet you can have the power to correct many chronic degenerative diseases and be on the path to true health?
For years I have heard many people say that they can only afford to eat a diet of pizza, soda pop, frozen dinners and fast food meals. What a lot of people are unaware of, or have chosen not to listen to, is the fact that this type of diet leads to many health problems including chronic degenerative diseases. When one puts junky food into their body they will in turn have a junky body. This will cause insurance companies to either not want to insure the “junky” person or charge them high premiums. The great thing about this is that YOU have the power to change this. You can lead your life into health and be a leader in your health care plan.
The first step is to realize that you have the power to change your health. Yes, you are a manifestor of your own destiny. You create the outcome of your health. Once you take responsibility for your health instead of being a puppet of the Standard American Diet (SAD) you will have created the foundation for being a true leader in your life.
The second step is to create a mindset that is sustainable for you to shift your eating habits. The most successful mindset to a healthy diet is by saying YES to food instead of saying NO to food. The key is to focus on what you can ADD into your diet everyday that is healthy instead of what you have to Subtract from your diet. By continuing to eat more healthy food you will begin to create less space for that which no longer serves you; unhealthy food.
The third step is to start flooding your body with healthy life enhancing foods. The key to eating healthy everyday is to stay prepared and plan ahead so you have healthy options all the time. These are the first 3 things to start flooding your body with:
1. Fresh organic raw vegetables & fruit. Make salads everyday with salad dressing made from a base of cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, flax seed oil or hemp seed oil and apple cider vinegar.
2. Super foods such as gogi berries, cacao, maca and spirulina. A great way to eat your superfoods is to blend them in a smoothie with your fruit
3. Fermented foods such as sauerkraut, kimchi, kombucha & kefir.
If you focus on these 3 food groups you will have a really good start at beginning to supply your body with the nutrition for maintaining good health. Beginning to eat this way will open the door for you to start experiencing a true shift in your health, thereby reducing the need for expensive health insurance.
ARE YOU A LEADER?
by One Spirit Weekend on Jun.24, 2009, under Consciousness and Spirituality
By Charly Alexander

Do you think you are a leader? I do—I think we are all leaders in different ways. Some of us just don’t know it yet. Some have known it all our lives, and have taken on the “burden” of leadership naturally.
What comes to mind for you when you think of a leader? A lot of people might think of the Abraham Lincoln’s of the world. He was certainly a great leader; one of the greatest in my opinion. There have been a lot of great leaders throughout the ages that have led nations and peoples to greatness, and that have been household names. I commend those leaders and am thankful for the paths they forged. When I think of a leader, I picture a role model; somebody I respect and want to be like. It might not necessarily someone who is a well-known celebrity or public speaker. They might not even be a CEO of a large corporation or anything like that. It could be your next door neighbor, or your best friend’s work associate that you just met.
I think of a leader as anyone who leads by example naturally. Have you ever met someone that just simply inspires you to want to do and be your best? That person has a charisma and an energy about them that is contagious! You can’t always even put your finger on what it is about them that inspires you, but you know that you enjoy being around them because they make you feel good. That person is a leader.
Leadership begins with attitude—in fact, I would go so far as to say is it one hundred percent attitude! When you have an overall positive and loving outlook on life, and you are in constant contact with your Higher Power, you can’t help but feel good about everything in life. I find myself feeling inspired to inspire others around me, just because I want everyone to have the same positive outlook I do. Just imagine what a paradise we would all live in if everyone felt like that. Some of already live in paradise. Each and every one of us has the ability to inspire someone else. It’s the Law of Attraction, and it works! This is your call to leadership.
I once read a Cheyenne proverb, and I’ve never forgotten it: it says “Your first leader is your own heart.” So, this brings me back to my original question–do you feel like you are a leader? I say that you most certainly are a leader. Welcome to paradise–let’s work together to make the world a paradise for everyone in it—one Loving Spirit at a time!
